I have been hunting and loving the outdoors as far back as I can remember, starting with my bb gun at age 8 to shooting my first deer with my dad at the age of 12. That was the beginning of my life long addiction for pursuing whitetails. Since than, I have become a Whitetail Fanatic and have been blessed to have taken numerous Trophy deer with both my bow and gun. Even when the hunting season is closed you can still find me in the woods, scouting, planning, and preparing for the upcoming year. Now I am passing these traditions down to my son who shot his first deer at age of 10. Since starting my business, I've also had numerous happy clients go home with trophy whitetails. And now have over 10 years in business.

I Love What I Do

Joseph Wheeler Jr. was born and raised in Plainfield, Wisconsin. This is where he developed his passion for hunting on his family's farm. He is a graduate from Michigan State University, class of 2001 with a B.S. Degree in Nursery management. He works and plans to take over the family business, Laura's Lane Nursery. In 2008 he started JW Outfitters and offers land management services geared towards hunting and installing Food plots. He is also currently one of the Top Fair Chase Outfitters in Central Wisconsin

I would like to invite you on the hunting trip of a life time in the heartland of Wisconsin. This is where the big bucks come from and where the turkeys are in abundance. The land you will be hunting with JW Outfitters has all of the key elements to produce trophy whietails, making it a true hunter's paradise.

JW Outfitters is located in central Wisconsin, most of the parcels are in Section 65A, with over 1000 acres of privately owned Quality Deer Management land. The area is surrounded by lakes, ponds, agricultural land and Christmas tree fields. Our woods consist of mature oaks, Norway pine and white pine. The land has been in my family for over 50 years, and has been in deer management for over 20 years. I have more than 20 stands to pick from, depending on the weather. The area is one of the top B&C\P&Y areas in Wisconsin according to the newly updated distribution map. The land has little to no hunting pressure, and I practice an 8 point minimum harvest on bucks (125P&Y).
